The AI agent extracts the relevant dates and times. Au Pair AI keeps the resulting schedule structured so the au pair and family can see the same week.

That is especially helpful for teacher workdays, early dismissals, and season-start sports calendars. Instead of retyping every date, a parent could ask an AI calendar assistant to identify the dates that require childcare and then adjust caregiver hours around them.

This is planned AI-agent functionality being developed during beta. It is not generally available yet. Families can already keep school times, activities, and caregiver shifts in Au Pair AI by entering them directly.

Why structured scheduling still matters

An AI agent should not make deterministic hour calculations by itself. Language models are useful for reading unstructured information and proposing a plan. They are the wrong place to be the final authority on whether two shifts overlap, whether Thursday exceeds a daily limit, or whether a time-off request already covers Friday afternoon.
